The short version

This site is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising or social-media trackers, and collects no personal data from readers by default. The payoff calculator runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type into it is transmitted anywhere.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, the server or hosting platform that delivers these pages may process technical data (such as IP address, user agent, and requested URL) in transient logs for security and operational purposes. The legal basis under the GDPR is legitimate interest in operating the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f)). Logs are not used to identify or profile readers.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled, this site uses a cookieless, privacy-focused service that records aggregate statistics only (page views, referrers, country-level location, browser family). No cookies are set, no cross-site identifiers are used, and no personal profiles are built — which is why no consent banner is shown. If this ever changes, this policy and the site's consent handling will change first.

Newsletter

Subscribing to the newsletter is strictly voluntary. Your email address is processed on the basis of consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), confirmed by double opt-in: you receive a confirmation email and are only subscribed after clicking it. The address is used solely to send the newsletter, is stored with the email service provider that operates the list, and is never sold or shared for marketing. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes your address.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (and similar laws elsewhere), you have the right to access, rectify, delete, and port personal data concerning you, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
