About this site
Why it exists
Most options education online is either a sales funnel with lessons attached, or reference material written for people who already understand it. This site tries to be the third thing: a complete, honest curriculum — from "what is a call" to a professional risk framework — written by someone who prices these instruments for a living, free to read, with no performance promises anywhere on it.
Options are not a shortcut to wealth. They are a precise tool for exchanging one risk profile for another, and they punish imprecision. The goal here is that you understand what you are trading before you trade it — including the strategies whose main risk is that they work until they suddenly don't.
Who writes it
Options Trader
Professionally: options trader, working daily with volatility markets, options pricing, and the risk management that makes both survivable. Everything published here reflects that practitioner's perspective — and none of it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything.
How this site makes money
Transparency about incentives is part of trustworthy education, so here is the whole model:
- Today: it doesn't. The curriculum, glossary, and tools are free, there are no ads, and no trading products are sold.
- Planned: a free email newsletter (one practical idea per week), and eventually a paid "Pro" tier of deeper practitioner write-ups. Free material stays free.
- Possibly, clearly labeled: affiliate links to brokers or data tools — only ones actually used, always disclosed on the page where they appear.
- Never: trade signals, "alerts", managed money, or any claim about returns. If you ever see those here, someone else has taken over the domain.
